On Purpose

What is purpose and what do we do in order to attain it?

People search their whole lives for their “purpose”, sometimes finding it and often figuring that whatever was found was not the right one.  And the search continues. 

Looking for our purpose in life is fine.  That is, if we also leave open for the idea that while we search for our purpose, our purpose is also searching for us.  We must remember that our purpose isn’t always what we want but is often what wants us.  It is not what we want to do but what we are meant to do.

Do not confuse your passion with your purpose.  They are often not the same. Your passion is a treasure to yourself and sometimes others.  Your purpose is a treasure to others and sometimes yourself.
